Care and Maintenance: Laminate Bench Top

The laminate surface on bench tops is made from a stain-resistant melamine based resin. Laminate surfaced products are classed as being hard wearing, but like any material, it can be damaged if used without some care and maintenance. The toughness and high impermeability of this surface, means that laminated bench tops should require no more than wiping with a soft cloth (dampened with plain water or a household detergent mix), to remove all common household spills.

Care and Maintenance: Laminate Doors

Laminate (aka Melamine) doors and panels are manufactured from the highest quality materials, and so will provide years of trouble-free service. Whilst made from a moisture resistant substrate, panels cannot be made totally waterproof. So care should be taken to wipe up spills immediately, ensuring the doors are not exposed to high or continuous levels of moisture, steam and humidity.

The Polyurethane 2-Pac surface on cabinet doors and panels, is made from a stain-resistant polyurethane paint and is a hard wearing, durable product. But like any material, it can be damaged if used without some care and maintenance. The toughness and high impermeability of this surface, means that the polyurethane paint should require no more than wiping with a micro fibre cloth dampened with warm soapy water to remove all common household spills.
